Patient Advice following the lifting of restrictions on 19 July 2021

After 19 July, we will continue with safety precautions in place for the protection of patients and staff in the practice.  This includes wearing face masks, social distancing, sanitising hands and hygiene controls.

Covid-19 is still very transmissable even after vaccination and cases are increasing in Somerset.  It is our duty to do all we can to keep both patients and our team safe, while delivering primary care services.

We kindly ask that you please come into the practice wearing a surgical face mask and throughout your visit and also maintain social distancing.  A new mask will be given to you if you do not have one.  This helps to protect the practice so that we can remain open and keep everyone safe.

The practice remains open and operational, as it has been throughout the pandemic period.

However, we have had to change how we work due to size and layout of the building, and therefore will continue to provide a ‘triage-first’ approach for GP appointments.  Please phone the practice or use AskMyGP to submit your consultation request.  Our GP Team will review your request within 30 minutes and contact you as soon as they are able to, prioritising those with urgent medical needs.  You will be offered a face-to-face appointment by the GP Team if it is needed.  For Nursing Team appointments, please telephone Reception to book.

The Triage-first approach lets us prioritise those patients with an urgent medical need to be contacted before non-urgent requests.  It also minimises the number of people attending the practice so reducing the risk of infection to those who do require in-person care, often the most vulnerable in our community.

If you develop any Covid-like symptoms please do not enter the practice building.  If you have an appointment, please contact us to rearrange.

We would like to thank you for your continued support and understanding.
