Travel Advice

If you are going on holiday and think you may need travel vaccinations then you must contact the surgery as early as possible so that we are able to provide you with everything you need in plenty of time.

It is important to complete this form as early as possible – at least 6 weeks before you travel – as an appointment may be required to administer travel vaccinations.

Please remember that the vaccines will need to be administered at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow for them to work.

Important note:

From 1 March 2026, Bruton Surgery will only provide NHS travel vaccinations, being Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Cholera and Polio (given as a combined Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio jab).

If you require travel vaccinations not provided under the NHS (such as Japanese Encephalitis, rabies, or Yellow Fever), please contact a Travel Vaccination service and note that charges for these vaccines will apply. The nurses will explain all of this to you once they have reviewed your information and will then contact you via telephone.

As many vaccines require several courses, any courses commenced before 1 March 2026 will be completed.
