Measles – catch up campaign for unvaccinated children and adults

Due to an increase in Measles cases across the country, the NHS are launching a campaign to enable patients who have not been vaccinated to receive their vaccine.

If your child is below age 11 and has not received two MMR vaccinations, please contact the surgery to book their vaccinations (these are usually given around the first birthday and the second dose aged 3 years 4 months.

If you are aged 17 to 30 years old, and have not received the full course, you will be contacted by the practice by text message enabling you to book your own appointment.  If you have not received the MMR vaccine previously, you will need two vaccinations at least four weeks apart.
