Maternity Support and Whooping Cough vaccinations

If you are pregnant or require information about maternity services and support, please visit our new page: Maternity and Pregnancy support.  This provides links to the Somerset Maternity Services (provided by Somerset NHS Foundation Trust) and the NHS advice about your pregnant journey.

It is also important that you have your Whooping Cough (Pertussis) vaccination if you are at least 20 weeks pregnant.  Please contact Reception to book an appointment.  Whooping cough cases have been increasing in the country and can be extremely harmful to young babies.  Their best protection is for their mother to be vaccinated during pregnancy as this will pass protective antibodies to the baby before birth.
